While we make the website and lessons as fun as
possible what is taught is
extremely serious and invaluable. Lil' Swimmer Aquatics teaches
children from about 6 months to 7 years survival swimming and stroke
on the proven PediaSwim methodology for children in the Apollo Beach,
Ruskin, Riverview and Brandon areas. We have now expanded our
coverage for home and community pool swimming lessons into Brandon, Riverview, South Tampa and areas along I-75 North and South of Brandon. Children learn appropriate swimming
postures which allow them to rotate into a back float position to rest
and breathe. This important skill will prepare your child
they fall into the water. Children also learn to swim between
adults, pool steps and the pool edge to improve their skills and for
fun. Infants and toddlers are taught to swim, roll completely over onto
their backs to float and breathe. They are able to remain in this
position for a very long time, even while fully clothed.
The focus for infant and toddler swimming lessons at Lil' Swimmer Aquatics is
survival. Drowning is the leading cause
of death in the nation for children under age 4. Florida
has the highest accidental drowning death rate in the nation for

These statistics are alarming. While no child is drown proof, the good
news is with education and supervision drowning is preventable.
